Obverse: Circular rim without beading. In the center, over three ondulated lines that symbolize the three stripes of the flag, bust of Simon Bolivar facing right with "BARRE" below (from the original engraver). In the ring, On the top, "BOLÍVAR" and "LIBERTADOR" on the bottom.
Reverse: Circular rim with dentacles beading. In the center, over the field eight five-pointed stars, body of the Coat of Arms, the face value "1" all over three ondulated lines that symbolize the three stripes of the flag. Above the exergue, the denomination unit "BOLÍVAR". Surrounding the field, the leyend "REPÚBLICA BOLIVARIANA DE VENEZUELA". In the exergue, the year.
