Obverse: Design mainly in violet and orange. On the right, portrait of Andrés Bello from unknown painter done in Santiago de Chile in 1850. In the center, front of the Palacio de las Academias (Palace of Academy, previous seat of the Universidad Central de Venezuela--Central University of Venezuela). On the left, watermarks zone. In each corner except bottom right, the value "50". On the top, the issuer name "BANCO CENTRAL DE VENEZUELA". Above the middle engraving, the denomination in words "CINCUENTA BOLÍVARES" with the payment clause "PAGADEROS AL PORTADOR EN LAS OFICINAS DEL BANCO" below, and a serial number in each side.
Similarities in the design of the obverse: The design is similar to Design E, Type B, with a general engraving details, mainly in the Andres Bello portrait and adornments. Also, the amount of value "50" in the bottom over the black segurity background is three, instead of two.
Reverse: Design mainly in orange. On the left, Coat of Arms with the value "50" below. On the right, a white zone for watermarks. In the center, the building of the Banco Central de Venezuela (Central Bank of Venezuela). In each corner except the lower left, the value "50". On the top, the issuer name "BANCO CENTRAL DE VENEZUELA". In the bottom, the denomination in words "CINCUENTA BOLÍVARES".
Similarities in the design of the reverse: The design is similar to Design E, Type B, with engraving details in the the guilloches.
