Obverse: Design mainly in blue. On the right, portrait of Francisco de Miranda done by the painter Georges Rouget in 1835 with a ship silhouette at right. In the center, the value "5000" with the denomination in words "CINCO MIL BOLÍVARES" in two parts, the denomination above and the monetary unit name below. On the bottom, an old gun, above the payment clause "PAGADEROS AL PORTADOR EN LAS OFICINAS DEL BANCO". On the left, watermarks zone. In the upper left corner the country name "REPÚBLICA BOLIVARIANA DE VENEZUELA". In each corners, except the bottom right corner the value "5000". The serial numbers are located in the upper right (in black) and bottom left (in red).
Reverse: Design mainly in blue. In the center, panoramic view of the Hydroelectric Dams of Guri, with at left, two fishes "Angel Alto" (Pterophyllum Altum) with the Coat of Arms above. On the top left, the issuer name "BANCO CENTRAL DE VENEZUELA". In the bottom right corner, the denomination in words "CINCO MIL BOLÍVARES". On the bottom left and upper right corners, the value "5000".
