Obverse: Design on green, with frame-like border and a security background. On the right, inside an oval portrait of Simon Bolivar from unknown author. In each corner the value "20". In the center, the denomination in words "VEINTE BOLIVARES" inside a rosette, below the payment clause "PAGADEROS AL PORTADOR EN LAS OFICINAS DEL BANCO". On the top, the issuer name "BANCO CENTRAL DE VENEZUELA", with a serial numbers on each side.
Reverse: Design on green, with frame-like border. In the center, Monument to Carabobo by Antonio Rodríguez del Villar, site which Bolívar achieved the independence of Venezuela on June 24th 1821. On the right, blank zone for watermarks, on the left, the Coat of Arms. In each corner the value "20". In the bottom the denomination in words "VEINTE BOLIVARES". On the top, the issuer name "BANCO CENTRAL DE VENEZUELA".
Design variations: The design is similar to Design D, Type A, with a lot of variations.
