Obverse: Design with portrait orientation. On the top, "REPÚBLICA BOLIVARIANA DE VENEZUELA" with below left in several lines: the denomination value "10", the denomination in words "DIEZ BOLIVARES", the date, the payment clause "PAGADEROS AL PORTADOR EN LAS OFICINAS DEL BANCO" and the two signatures, and below center watermarks zone. On the bottom, portrait of the Cacique Guaicaipuro by Pedro Centeno Vallenilla, with below, the denomination. The serial numbers are located in the top right and bottom left rotated 90 degrees clock-wise.
Reverse: Design with landscape orientation. In the center, over the field American Harpy Eagle (Harpia harpyja) with Ucaima Falls, and Venado and Kurún Tepui as background. On the right, watermarks zone. On the top left, the issuer name "BANCO CENTRAL DE VENEZUELA". On the left, Coat of Arms. On the bottom right, the denomination value "10" and the denomination in words "DIEZ BOLIVARES".
Variations: In the 2007 issue, there are detected varieties of the portrait, in special attention to the thickness of the shadow at right, which varies from a thick shadow to no-shadow. Also, the font style of the serial number of the serie A8-D8 are different to the serie G8-H8.
