Obverse: Design on violet, with frame-like border and security background. On the left, inside an oval portrait of Simon Bolivar from unknown author, on the right, inside an oval portrait taken from the litography of Lemoine about the Marshal of Ayacucho, Antonio José de Sucre. In each corner the value in words "DIEZ". In the center, the value "10" inside a rosette; below the denomination in words "DIEZ BOLIVARES" and the payment clause "PAGADEROS AL PORTADOR EN LAS OFICINAS DEL BANCO". On the top, the issuer name "BANCO CENTRAL DE VENEZUELA", with two serial number below. In the center, below the issuer name, the word "CARACAS".
Similarities in the design of the obverse: Similar design as Design A, Type B, varying in the border design and a complete background security.
Reverse: Design on violet, with frame-like border. In the center, Monument to Carabobo by Antonio Rodríguez del Villar, site which Bolívar achieved the independence of Venezuela on June 24th 1821. On the left, inside a circle, the value "10", on the right, inside an oval the Coat of Arms. In each corner the value in words "DIEZ". In the bottom the denomination in words "DIEZ BOLIVARES". On the top, the issuer "BANCO CENTRAL DE VENEZUELA"
Similarities in the design of the reverse: The design is the same as Design B, Type A and varies with the update of the legend in the lower motto in the Coat of Arms from "EEUU DE VENEZUELA" to "REPUBLICA DE VENEZUELA".
Common name: This banknotes is commonly named as "Cara Volteada" (turned face) because different face direction of the Marshal Sucre in banknotes design after 1963.
