On the right inside an oval portrait taken from the litography of Lemoine about the Marshal of Ayacucho, Antonio José de Sucre. In each corner the value in words "DIEZ". In the center, the value "10" inside a rosette; below the denomination in words "DIEZ BOLIVARES" and the payment clause "PAGADEROS AL PORTADOR EN LAS OFICINAS DEL BANCO". On the top, the issuer name "BANCO CENTRAL DE VENEZUELA", with two serial number below.
Similarities in the design of the obverse: This design is the same to Design A, Type A.
Reverse: Design on violet, with frame-like border. On the left, inside a circle, the value "10", on the right, inside a circle the Coat of Arms. In each corner the value in words "DIEZ". In the bottom the denomination in words "DIEZ BOLIVARES". On the top, the issuer name "BANCO CENTRAL DE VENEZUELA".
Similarities in the design of the reverse: This design is similar to the Design A, Type A, with a change of the lowest motto in the Coat of Arms from "EEUU DE VENEZUELA" to "REPUBLICA DE VENEZUELA", due to the country name change by the new constitution.
