On the bottom, engraving of the portrait of Simon Bolivar, the diplomatic, based on the painting by Rita Matilde de la Peñuela (AITA) done in 1860, with below, the denomination. The serial numbers are located in the top right and bottom left rotated 90 degrees clock-wise.
Reverse: Design with landscape orientation. In the center, over the field Black-hooded Red Siskin (Carduelis cucullata) with the Avila Hill as background. On the right, watermarks zone. On the top left, the issuer name "BANCO CENTRAL DE VENEZUELA". On the left, Coat of Arms. On the bottom right, the denomination value "100" and the denomination in words "CIEN BOLÍVARES".
